back from manc

i got back from manchester at about 9pm just now and i feel so freaking tired, but i have to wait for my laundry to be done T.T

i saw a few trailers just now and i really really wanna watch transformers and public enemies!!! so awesome!!!

about manc... well, lets just say its not my kind of city. if i wanted to live in fear i would prefer living in kl. wtf
not that i kena-ed any racist incidents or anything, just that there were wayyyy too many dodgy characters around *shudders*

so manc would not be a city i would recommend anyone to visit... unless you are a MU fan. then its different =p

but hwei seems to love manc :)

oh ya, anyone who does go to manc must must must go to chaophraya. its a thai restaurant and blissfully delicious! im craving it already T.T
plus im not even a thai food fan!

it was all very last minute. bernie has been asking the lodgians in uk to go visit him for sometime, but as usual we just said we would but made no actual plans.

then suddenly he said that he had to move out of his place soon and if we wanted to visit, we had better visit soon. so i immediately booked tickets and off i'll be going tomorrow!

it has been awhile since i've been spontaneous like that and i like it! haha...

sometimes i will walk to the bus stop without knowing where i wanna go and see if the bus heading towards headington or the city centre comes 1st then just take it :D

ok la, i gtg sleep now. gotta wake up at 9am coz my coach is at 10.55am :)

i met an actress at yo sushi on monday!

jeannie, min yuen n i were nearly done with our meal when she came in with a guy and sat opposite us. then MY got soo excited. LOL

she's anna popplewell who acted as susan in 'the chronicles of narnia'!

so after dinner MY asked if she acted in narnia and she said yes and shook hands with MY but declined photos.

in real life, she's slimmer looking than in the movie, plus she's gone blonde. :)

i heard emma watson is studying in oxford too. now thats someone i wanna meet!!!

beautiful weather

today's weather was soo awesome!
not too hot nor too cold. i didnt even have to wear any jacket out.

in fact, the weather was so nice that after work, i went for a jog in the park in a tank top and felt great! the sun was warm but not 'hot' because of the cool and constant breezes. plus, my skin finally had a taste of vit D after goodness knows how long!

like i mentioned above, i had to work in the afternoon today. and i felt so so envious of all those people coming in all dressed so nice and summery, enjoying the sunshine while i was stuck behind the counter :(

oh and my co-worker messed up some breads (he left them out too long and they grew too big, eventually collapsing), so they were wasted. but i felt too sayang to throw all the dough away, so i took one tray and made the dough into balls and baked it. they turned out pretty decent and i had one just now for supper.

i warmed it up in the oven, then i ate it with butter. yums!
then i tried it with my mint and apple jelly too. double yums!

im going for sushi tomorrow! *excited*

gosh, i've been so busy these few days that i barely even have any 'me' time to read my post!

not that my post has had anything interesting recently... just tesco and election stuff.

i havent ebay-ed in awhile... i've run out of things to buy :S

anyway, the job interview went ok and i hope to hear from them by tomorrow. but im not THAT keen on working 2 jobs anymore... i just feel so tired :(

remember i said that i was looking for another job and that i sent my CV out to several places?

well, im going to an interview tomorrow for one of those places.

i had no idea where the restaurant/pub was located, so i checked out its website and discovered that there were many asians working there and the manager was quite hot! *squeals!!!*

ohhhhh im being side tracked into searching for a gift for a friend! i love buying people gifts! but only if i know them well enough la... and they're female. LOL

i find it damn hard to find gifts for guys. i always think of the boring old tshirt or wallet. but for girls, u can get them accessories or makeup or clothes! and there are a millions of types of accessories, makeup and clothes to choose from. most guy's clothes look the same to me. *shrugs*

9 hours shifts

yesterday i worked a 9 hour shift. ok la, it was actually more like 8 and a half hours because i kept bugging the supervisor to let me off early =p

eh, u think its an easy job ar? there are no chairs in the kitchen, so if i have a 9 hour shift, it means i have to be on my feet for 9 hours straight T.T

i thought the 9 hour shift would be a one-of thing only, but i had to do it again today T.T

i wasnt even told i had to work till 9 until i was already working. ugh, i really do hate my manager's time management skills -or lack of.

another gripe i have is that they automatically assume that i have no plans and can work whenever they call me to. damn, i must really look like a no-lifer. wtf

but gripes aside, i still love my job =p

btw, im looking for a new job. i sent my cv out online to several places and all have replied. im going to an interview on wednesday!

i hope that they accept me eventhough i can only work for 2 months :s
plus i hope the pay is much better too! =p

i guess thats all the updates for now. i'll try to update more often! (not as if many people read me anyway =p)

burning bridges

i have kept so many bridges i should have burnt.

i've changed so much over the years. the high school me would have never hesitated to make bold moves at the risk of offending people. unfortunately, the university me cannot afford such rashness and have shied away from countless conflicts. coward.

i wish i were more devil-may-care about my relationships with people, but the sick truth is that i do care. i care hell alot.

dont get me wrong. im not trying to say im all sugar and spice, because im not. what im trying to say is that i wish i could be firmer, more decisive.

bah. enough emo-ness.

let me tell u about the incident in the library toilet.

a few days ago, i was studying in the uni library. then i had to go to the loo. so instead of leaving the library and having to use my student card to gain entry into the library again, i decided to use the library toilet which is very small and quite dodgy. a girl entered the toilet before i did an took a stall. i took the other stall next to it (there are only 2 stalls). when i was just about done, i heard a very loud "ka-chak". u know the kind that camera phones use?

so i immediately checked under the stall to see if there was any camera there and there was none, then i looked up and there was none there either. i felt mildly disturbed. only mildly disturbed because as far as i knew, there were only the 2 of us girls in the loo and i doubt that the other girl would be perverted enough to wanna take a picture of another girl peeing. so i assumed that she was just camwhoring. but still thats a little wierd because girls normally camwhore with the mirrors at the sinks and not inside toilet cubicles...

on another note, my laptop is becoming even more screwed up. now, not only do i have no desktop, but i cant even open mozilla. so i have to use IE. and me no likey IE *pouts*

yes la, i know i should have reformatted it eons ago, but do you have any idea how much it costs to do laptop related stuff here? i might as well buy a new laptop with that money! im actually quite relieved that my laptop managed to last through my assignment period. *phew!*

im gonna start working tomorrow and i'll be working nearly everyday. which means... income! :D

but right now, im so so exhausted... all i want to do is sleep. well, after im done watching House =p
