difficulty levels

i downloaded madagascar 2.
when i opened the file, i discovered that it was in spanish.

i downloaded quantum of solace.
when i opened the file, i discovered that it was in french.

i tried to read my European Law textbook.
it was in english.

all three are equally hard to understand.

maybe learning french will be easier. wtf

maybe i should just give up and do what everybody else is doing... my commercial law assignment which is due next thursday.

it was just a veggie delight

i saw the sweetest thing in subway the other day.

a couple came in to order. they stood at the counter, chatting to each other about what to eat. then the girl ordered a veggie delight. then the guy ordered exactly the same thing. she looked at him and said "you dont have to". then he said "but i want to". (yes, i know, this sounds damn cliche, but u had to be there.)

you see, she was a vegetarian and he obviously wasnt. but he wanted to have exactly the same thing as her, so that he could know her taste better. so he could enjoy the things she enjoyed.

you should have seen the way they behaved. it was the beginning stage of courtship where both parties were still new to each other, still curious and playful. and they stole glances at each other, checking each others reaction to different things. both so obviously liked each other and wanted to get to know each other better. there was also that cute shyness. the lowering of eyes each time they caught each others gaze.

just thinking about it gives me the warm tingly feeling. i love the beginning of new romances. when two people discover each other. *melts*

i considered ordering from here, but since dinner was on caroline, why scrimp! WTF

no la, it was really coz im too greedy and the kids meals here are too small. whoever said that ang mohs had huge portions were either lying or referring to other countries besides england. coz so far, all the portions of the places that i've been to are same as malaysian portions or SMALLER. chis, i thought i could save money here by sharing meals, manatau a meal barely fills me up, what say sharing it between 2 ppl!

i ordered seafood coz i feel like i lack seafood here. iodin and whatnot.
back home, we used to have a fish dish everynight. but here, i rarely eat fish. same goes to when i was living in kl. so i feel fish-deprived.

over here at oxford brookes, not everything is located in one campus. thus the law building is located about 8mins walk away from the campus, depending on how fast u walk, u could reach between 5-10mins.

actually, it might not even be called the law building. i dunno wad its official name is, but we call it the law building coz the law department is here. the law department refers to the lecturer's rooms and law office, not to be mistaken with where we have our classes. we have our classes in the main campus. we only go to the law building if we wanna find our lecturers, or to hand in assignments, and occasionally to collect documents. i hope you are not confused =p

well, the story goes that it was once owned by a very wealthy man. but he became bankrupt and committed suicide in his yatch. thus his house was sold off and is now used as an office. my more sensitive friends find this building eerie, but i dont really feel anything and still walk past it in the middle of the night to get home, instead of taking the long way round. *shrugs*


it is huge and normally students get lost wandering the unfamiliar halls.

i think it looks rather museum-ish and not like a house. i mean if i had a house like this, i'd certainly not furnish it like this (although i admit it looks grand) because its not warm. and houses should exude warmth.

albeit a very small and cramped one. obviously not made for flocks of students.


but i found the whole building to be very cramped.

maybe it was not originally like this, and was renovated to accomodate rooms for each lecturer, thus cramping it up.

and because the house is quite ancient, the floorboards are very noisy and creak when u walk on them. not exactly what one would expect from a rich mans house.

one of the perks of studying in oxford is access to this esteemed library.

haha... i dont know what the other ways are, but i know that one of the reasons that we have to be very serious in this library is because judges use this library too.

all this talk about the library and i havent even officially entered it yet. WTF
