im so pissed at my landlord!

when i 1st moved in, i found him rather eccentric coz he was soo proud of his children. he had their graduation pics all framed up in the living rrom, complete wif details bout the uni they graduated in n the courses they took. he also operated a tuition centre in the hse. a partitioned off area in the living room. this mite bother sum ppl but it din bother me.

he started to tick me off when i asked him to provide internet access. he asked me to apply for it myself! i mean hello! dis is HIS hse, n for the expensive $600 dat i pay for rent besides tolerating the distance from my hse to college, internet access was sth HE shud provide for free! it was so obvious he wans me to apply for it myself coz he din wanna pay. after much cajoling he finally agreed to get it done.

whatsmore, whenever there is sth wrong wif the hse, he will inevitably look for me. like the living room lights n fans were left on by my hsemates when they left the hse. he sees me in the hse n automatically assumes it was me n starts a "treat this like ur own hse speech". once, he discovered my air-cond on when i was downstairs n he launched into his "treat this like ur own hse" speech again. its so annoying!!!

then today, he brought the telecom ppl to install the phone line. the water for my tortises was dirty so he started complaining n saying stuff like i shud get rid of it, it was smelly,... n get this... it was not my hse! wad happened to all the "treat this like ur own hse"??? Blardy hypocritical doddering old fool! then he noticed a plank of wood leaning on the wall(it was supposed to be on top of the bedframe of the extra bed in my room. but i my bf had helped me transfer the spare table on top of it.) n sed dat it looked unsightly. then he asked me to put the plank onto the bedframe myself. i gaped at him. my mind was screaming "are u stupiddd?? do i look like superwoman??" then he pretended to not notice n went downstairs. rarw!!!

i also juz found out from a hsemate that my landlord has been claiming stuff dat i bought for using in the hse (like washing detergent, hangers, etc...) as his own n is telling potential tenants dat its all provided. yea.. by me! the nerve!!!

driving test

i had my driving test today... i was so extremely nervous! my heart was like "duppduppdupp...duppduppdupp" instead of the normal "duppdupp...duppdupp".haha...

my instructor came n picked me n we reached there at about 8. then we waited for the ppl to start. i was in sesi 1 no.5 so i din have to wait long. the 1st part i did was the dreaded hill. i watched the girl in front of me go up the hill... then go down the hill... both on the same side! obviously she failed n she had to get out n sum guy in the orange govt vest drove the car over the hill. suffice to say dat did nth to calm my nerves! so i got into the car n jerkily went up the hill, stopping abruptly at the top. the examiner was toking to the girl n gesturing at my car as if to say dats the way ure supposed to do it. so i assumed i was correct then proceeded to brake n all dat stuff... n i managed to pass the hill!!! by the time i drove my car back to the starting point my heart still hadnt stopped beating like crazy. haha...

nxt was the parking. dis part is usually my fav coz its the easiest to me. but i dunno y today i had juz on-ed the enjine then eased off the clutch then the engine wud abruptly die! so soi ar! dis happened about 3 times b4 i finally got it goin. even the examiner who was busy wif sum1 else turned to stare. *so pai seh ar!* then after i got my car parellel to the poles i was supposed to reverse, but i forgot to turn the sterring wheel!! omg... such an incredibly stupid mistake! so i had to adjust the car again. but besides dat... i did ok for dat part n passed.

finally it was time for me to drive on the road. i was supposed to drive route b which is known as the hardest route. but b4 my test, my instructor came up to me n asked which route i wanted to drive. route a ofcoz! then he smiled conspiratorally at me n sed he wud arrange it. lol~ so when i got into the car, a guy in the orange vest came up to the car n sed to the examiner: "nak makan apple? makan APPLE!" it wud have been hilarious if i wasnt so nervous! haha... so i did well in dat test too. =p i got 18/20 for it coz i he crossed the part about checking the review n side mirrors n also about using the brakes. haha... but amazingly he din cross the part about driving dangerously coz i drove bordering 60 n 70 most of the time n i tink i even reached 80 at sum point. lol~

so dats it! i can drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! beware roadusers! another reckless driver has been passed! to let u have an idea of how i drive, tink of how edine drives. =p

i love my sister. she's so beautiful and kind. she helped me change my template for me. i love it.

Valentine's day dis yr is charles n my 1st valentines as a couple... but he's in aussie n im in msia... so we cudnt celebrate it as we wanted. so instead of moping about, i invited a few of my frens over n cooked for them.

fortune cookies

Yesterday i woke up at about 11 n got dressed then went downstairs n had 2 half boiled eggs for breakfast. Then I walked to jia xin’s (JX) place to wait for ming yuen (MY) to pick me up. (MY picked JX up at 1u b4 comin to pick me up) then the 3 of us went to centrepoint for lunch n also to buy the ingredients for the fortune cookies. Everything at the restaurant we went to was so expensive, so I settled on juz eating kaya toast as it was the most ‘worth it’s price’ thing I cud find on the menu.

As we were finishing, a group of aunties came in n they decided dat they wanted our table despite there being another empty table available. So they stood around our table n 1 even plopped herself into the chair nxt to mine! Then they juz rudely stared at us while talking among themselves about wanting our table. The nerve! It was so totally rude! So we took our time finishing our drinks. Haha~ Juz coz they r older than us it doesn’t give them the right to behave so obnoxiously!

After lunch we went to buy the ingredients n went back to MY’s place where I discovered dat she din have an oven!!!! How in the world were we supposed to bake wifout an oven??? In the end we used the microwave oven. I hate using the microwave oven to bake coz:
1) u can only bake 3 fortune cookies at a time
2) u have to squint into the oven to check if the cookies r browning, which is very bad for eyes
3) u cant preheat it n its difficult to estimate the heat

After sum camwhoring, we continues wif the cookies. But there were too many rejectcookies dat refused to fold nicely, so we decided to make nestum cookies instead.

We took a break for dinner n unknown to me (I wasn’t wearing a watch) it was already 9!!! We still had 1 more batch of cookies to go so we hurried to finish it. But by then I tink we had kinda outstayed our welcome coz MY’s mum kept fretting bout how late it was n dat driving late at nite in kl wasn’t safe. So mid-way thru, we decided to call it quits she sent us home. I hope we din get MY into trouble… in the end I tink it was quite a waste of time n effort mainly coz of the microwave. I mean baking 3 cookies at a time when u can bake about 20 in a normal oven at 1 time?? Summore there were so many rejects dat we ended up wif about 2 dozen cookies only. *sigh* it was a day dat started out happy but ended pathetically.

Ure taking law coz it’s a prestigious subject, besides dat u dunno wad else to take n besides, charles is doin law too. So is jo.

Owh ya. But we’re all in diff uni’s and charles is all the way in aussie!! So y am I still doin law??

Coz u dunno wad else to do? Business interests u but there’s too much competition. Mass comm is gonna be like totally fun, but in this field u have to be unique and there’s even more competition!

But its not like there’s no competition in the law field!

Yea, but like I was saying, there’s contract law, family law, criminal law, corporate law, torts n etc. wadsmore, if ure not interested in specializing in these areas, u can always juz become a legal advisor. Besides, the pay is more stable than the other choices…

Oh ya hor.. the pay! But I have to study like crazy!! N im totally not the studying kind! I only study so dat I pass. It’s the ego bruising of failing dat I study to avoid. Im not one of those study to excel kinda ppl… maybe I shud go into journalism, or mass comm….

Those r not stable career choices la! If u succeed then great. But if u dun, its gonna suck relli bad n u’ll have to accept relli low pay! Summore so many ppl r studying those subjects already so the risk dat u’ll be out of a job is relli high!

Then how? Im relli having 2nd n 3rd thoughts bout law la…

Haiyar… daddy paid for the tuition fees n accommodation n bought u so many household appliances n u also bought a huge freaking expensive law book dy! Its too late to change ur mind la!

Sigh… I wan out la… but I also relli dunno wad else I can chose… I guess I’ll stick to this for lack of a better option lo…
