my 20th birthday

contrary to popular expectations, i did not spend my birthday in the clubs of london, not even oxford.

instead, i spent the day cooped up in my room chatting to my bie and the night at my fren's place.

(btw, i bought 6 250ml boxes of honey chrysanthemum tea in chinatown when i went to london last saturday and im sipping one box now *blisssssss* when i used to live in kuching, everytime we ate out at kopitiams, i'd order chrysanthemum tea with my food. this was way before my limau ais times in kl. wtf)


now, before u all start thinking that this dinner was specially prepared for my honour, it wasnt (how sad is that :'( ).

its just that my fren cooks and the others always chip in. so this was one of those nights. but since it was my birthday, i didnt have to pay. lol~

after dinner, we played 7.

the rules of the game are quite basic. going either clockwise or anti-clockwise, we count upwards and when it reaches 7, any multiple of seven, or any number containing the number 7, the person must buzz instead of saying the number. then the circle will change direction.

i was rather apprehensive about it considering i was nvr any good at math -_-"


and sure enuf, i got it wrong and my punishment was to put on this random red jacket (i have no idea whose) and sexily strip it off.

after this game, we played mafia.

then while we were taking a break, my fren pretended to confess her feelings to another fren. i actually thought it was real, but they were just acting -_-"

then i turned around...


and set my eyes on the prettiest cake ever!

btw, the necklace im wearing is from my parents. they got it for me when they went to my sister's graduation in scotland. they meant to hide it and only give it to me when i was leaving for the UK, but one day as my mum was pulling clothes from her closet, i spied a gorgeous pink box on the shelf and opened it. the minute i opened it, i knew it was mine. (cmon la,it was a huge purple heart! everyone knows i like purple!) then my mum turned around and squealed. i had just ruined my own surprise -_-"

i've been buying alot of clothes lately. and i really must stop.

i thought ppl buy less the 1st few months they arrive coz everything is so expensive after conversion. but i dont seem to have that problem -_-"

yea, in fact i went and found out all the cheap places to buy clothes (and when buying from places like cancer research, i can even justify my buys!), where clothes end up even cheaper than in M'sia! -_-"

anyways, i've banned myself from entering clothing stores of any kind for the rest of the month (which is just 5 more days anyway. wtf). so there!

1st up, the cancer research store.


an overcoat!
(actually i dunno if its called an overcoat, but im just gonna call it one. wtf)

it looks abit frumpy right? its just the picture la.

these jeans are long, but there's really nothing much to see down the pant leg.
just a normal pair for straight-cut jeans.
wad i wanted to show was the zippers. pretty unique :)

and it only cost... 3pounds!

but luckily i tested the jeans b4 i washed them (3pounds for jeans... must be something wrong wan!) with the rest of the clothes. and i was right. the colour ran quite abit. but hopefully the colour will run less after some washes. for 3 pounds, its worth abit of handwashing =p

2nd, primark!


sweat pants! 4 pounds!

i got them coz i dont like wearing jeans in my room and with this weather, going bottomless is not an option. so now i have something comfy to wear in my room :D
plus the furriness of the pants make it warm too! :D


and 2 long sleeved shirts for layering purposes.

therefore i shall exercise some self-control. the best method will be to stay at hone everyday -_-

vegetable soup!

i used the leftover soup from yesterday's meatballs and added some water. then i dumped in long beans (actually they're quite short but i dunno wad they're called), broccoli, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms and an onion. (all gonna expire soon so need to be eaten up =p)

i didnt even add salt and it was damn tasty already! am i good or am i good! *humble*
that was lunch.

lamb and mint sauce!


i put too much mint sauce la.
but no worries coz i like mint sauce anyway. (the eat by date was a few days ago -_-")

i was so worried of not cooking the meat enough that i ended up overcooking it :(
