i took soo many, that even I was getting sick of seeing my face (if thats even possible =p).
so in order to not create mass vomiting, i split the pictures into those taken during the day and those taken during the night. see, im soo considerate! =p

on the 1st day of CNY, as with every other year, i woke up early to get ready and go to my grandparents house.
first picture of the day!
i was gonna take more pictures since the guests hadnt started arriving yet, but my paternal grandmother (my maternal grandmother was in kl with my uncle) spotted me taking pictures and asked me to take pictures of her too! i guess it runs in the family! =p

my grandparents house is much bigger than my humble abode, coz my uncle's (who has 5 children, although technically, 3 of them arent children anymore -but thats besides the point) family lives there too. and my other uncle and his family also used to live there, but they have since moved out to accommodate their growing family.
eh, why i always end up giving family history? -_-"
anyways, they always decorate the house beautifully and this year was no exception. in fact, i think this year is the nicest so far!

oh ya, speaking about flowers, i shall digress abit. remember last year, i mentioned that a certain girl never received flowers before and she really wants them?
well, she had her wish granted this valentines day! the lucky girl was grinning from ear to ear and floated off into her own dreamy world, not listening to a word we said the entire day! unlike the conventional roses, she received lilies. which was the exact same thing she got for her bf! talk about coincidence! :D
as for me, i love purple/fushia roses *wink wink* =p

aduhai so unfair lar, every year, we girls have to do all the kitchen work while the boys go play dota/maple/counter strike or eat (see above =p) (no lar, actually he helped alot)
but actually i dont mind lar, it makes me feel useful. and this way, i can avoid making small talk (the adults talk to guests while us big kids fill up drinks or top up food/tid bits) or answering questions that are asked every year. like "whose kid r u?" -______-"
(coz the whole family congregates in the house every CNY and all the kids get mixed up.)

after spending a couple of hours helping out at my grandparents place, as usual, my family will head home to entertain our own guests.

after we entertained our guests, we make our usual rounds. as in we visit relatives and my dad's business assoiciates/friends.
the car rides have got to be the most boring part of CNY.
luckily, yours truly knows how to entertain herself.
cameras have got to be one of the most useful creations on earth!
if not for my cam, i'd probably be concentrating on the car ride, and then i'll get car sick.
i get motion sickness very easily :(
once, i felt sick on a ride to klia, and once i got out of the taxi, i puked right there on the road. *shy*

they left evidence of illegal fun (firecracker boxes) right outside their house.
finally we reached our intended destination!
and coincidentally, they were having a lion dance performance!

the previous year, i dont think i got to watch any lion dances at all. maybe thats y last year was soo bad for me. hmm...
i took soo many shots coz i was standing right in front and felt that it would be a waste to not take pics from such a good vantage point. (pun intended -if u even got it =p)

we knocked and yelled, but nobody answered the door. (we're not uncivilized ok! just that the aunty and uncle were along in their years and they took afternoon naps.)
i made good use of the time that we waited =p

my parents didnt have their number, so we visited another house before coming back to this house. it turned out that they weren't in previously, and just returned from visiting.
