1st batch of pics

the other day, i was at the cineleisure with a certain someone. we (ok fine, I) wanted to watch narnia, but we were late and the tickets were sold out :(

suddenly, this guy came up to us waving some sort of card in our faces. he asked "do u want to watch indiana jones?"
i only asked one thing: "is it free?"
"yes, its showing right now"
i grabbed the tickets and we ran upstairs.

wtf, y am i such a malaysian. free thing straightaway take, no questions asked.
so until now im not sure what the event was about -_-"

they even had guys in suits holding detectors outside the cinema!


oh wells, im just happy we got to watch a free show. plus it was the premier :D

however, the downside is that i still havent gotten to watch narnia :(
anybody in kuching wanna watch it? or else i'll have to drag my bro along =p

i took these pics to help decide which dress to wear to the law ball, but after *cough*intense consultation*cough* with my friends, im pretty much set on which dress im gonna wear =p

but since i took the pics, here they are :)

the green gown

at 1st i was lazy to wear it coz i only thought of taking pics after i put it back onto the hanger, but i figured, i couldnt show the dress properly if i didnt wear it -_-"

this dress belongs to my mum and i've always always always coveted it.
ok, i'll let u all in on a secret. every single freaking time i come back from kl, i will try this dress on at least once.
what? u have a problem against young ladies playing dress up? *glare*

so when i heard that the theme of this year's law ball was "a night in tinseltown", this dress immediately flashed through my mind.


i love the bead details :)


unfortunately, as i mentioned before, this dress belonged to my mum, so the tailoring is rather old fashioned and it doesnt fit as seamlessly as dresses these days do :(



but i absolutely adore the design of the back!!! *melts*

as u can see, the butt part of the dress isnt quite as seamless as it should be :(

the white gown

this dress was my mum's too.
i've always thought it was so-elegant-until-can-die.

but it suffers from the same old-fashioned tailoring and the material used to make the dress isnt slinky enough to fully emphasize the elegance of the design.
one day, if i can afford to, i'll get a good tailor to re-make this dress using different materials.

but i didnt wear it coz its abit short at the ankles so it doesnt look so nice.

the black cocktail dress

i bought this dress in the beginning of this year and i havent worn it yet.
i like the bow in the middle, but its not very clear in this pic :(


its very super cutesy and comfortable!
so comfortable that bernie says it looks like a maternity dress *GLARE*

but it doesnt look quite grand enough for tinseltown does it? (btw, tinseltoen a.k.a hollywood) :(

the funny thing is that this is the cheapest dress of the lot.
i bought it at a wet market near my uncles condo, near pwtc, about 4 yrs ago. it only cost $50.

although its not quite the elegant full-length red-carpet gown that i envisioned, i suppose it'll do :)

the problem with this dress is that its lycra-ish and emphasizes every unsightly bulge on my not-so-skinny frame! AND im in kuching now! home to all kinds of delicious food, mostly cooked in LARD! also, dont u dare tell me to diet! thats simply not possible for me! have u even seen the way i eat???

so i guess its exercise for me! *groans*
