seafood buffet

on wednesday evening, jia xin, carole, bree n i went to impiana hotel for a seafood buffet.

for more info on the buffet, look at the pic below :)
Photobucket

the memory card for my camera is spoilt, so i took pictures using the camera's memory.
however, there wasnt enough memory for all the pics that i wanted to take, so the pictures on my blog are supplemented by pics taken by bree's phone.

Photobucket
the interior of the restaurant was very pretty :D

Photobucket
temaki

the seafood:
Photobucket

lemme explain how it works, u select the seafood that u want and put it onto a plate, then u tell the chef how u want it cooked.

Photobucket
telling the chef how they want it done and listening to his recommendations :)

the sashimi counter!
Photobucket
u choose the kinda fish that u want from the bucket on the right and tell the chef how u want it done.
u can have it either sushi style, temaki or sashimi.

Photobucket
lobster bisque
i added the cream n swirled it myself. nice ler... =p

Photobucket
oysters!

Photobucket
sushi!
looks good eh? i miss it soo much!
YUM!

Photobucket
food food food!

Photobucket
satay

the satay here was excellent! very juicy, succulent meat with just the right amount of fat. and mind u, the fat was definitely NOT of the chewy-cant-bite-off kind :D

so unfair i tell u, they are housemates and they probably got ready together, so they were all so nicely dolled up when i met them. as for me, i just woke up from my nap. wtf

Photobucket
dessert!

Photobucket
strawberries n cream

it was literally a quarter of a strawberry n a mound of whipped cream. not enough strawberry and too much whipped cream :(

but, i have to commend their strawberries though. because they were of the big juicy SWEET kind. unlike those sour kinds available in supermarkets. i love sweet strawberries! :D

Photobucket
we ordered more oysters

what? we had to eat our money's worth! =p

I think it's more than a year now I didn't go for buffet in hotel. Missed the buffet in Lemongrass, Shangri-la.
