too many things to eat, too little stomach (and $$$)!

gomen! i know i've been neglecting my blog of late, but there's just too many things i want to do, and eat before i leave oxford! add that to packing and visa stuff, i barely have any time left to blog!

i still have 8 restaurants/cafes/patisseries to try, tonnes of alleys to explore and shops to check out.

have i mentioned how much i love oxford? T_T

to those of you still in oxford or if you're planning to come to oxford, this is my foodie list:

cafe noir: french food. best creme brulee EVER! great cod, lamb and beef dishes. actually everything i and my friends have ever tried here is good (except the lemon cheesecake. unless you like it sour). also, they give heavenly dark chocolate truffles with the bill.

shanghai 30's: best chinese restaurant in the city centre (but pricey), also quite atas

xi'an: foodwise, it gives shanghai 30's a run for its money. the ambience here is definitely unbeatable though (quite atas too)! (and it helps that i know the staff =p)

cafe rouge: french food. you have got to try the mushroom starter if you love champignon and fromage! my friend prefers the creme brulee here as its sweeter.

G&D's: ice cream. they have amazing flavours! and im totally in love with the daim (they spell it dime for fun) flavour!

jamies italian: italian food (duh!). opened by jamie oliver and extremely reasonably priced. need i say more? i love the seasonal meat antipasti plank and truffle tagliatelle.

edamame: japanese food. cheaper and fresher than yo sushi. i love the novelty of the shop too!

the crepe stall in front of westgate: i cant remember its name, but its has amazing crepe. pricey, but d.e.l.i.s.h!

Queens Lane Coffee House: perfect for an english tea. delightful scones with clotted cream :D

prezzo: italian food. they serve a mean rissotto mediterraneo; and with the offer voucher (buy 2 main meals and get the cheaper one free) that you can print off student beans, its so cheap! I came here once with a huge group of friends and everyones dishes were delicious :D

subway: because the most amazing waitress ever works there. exellent customer service and endless charm. not to be missed! the coming sunday is her last day of work, so you better hurry! wtf
