caroline's bdae was yesterday! so we punked her n bought her tomatoes to give her as her bdae pressie. then we told her the whole class chipped in. -_-" (the tomatoes were like $4 only...)


tomatoes also happy.... (darn... shud have bought her tomatoes only! =p)

i shall digress a bit here. i noticed dat quite a few of us were wearing shirts wif 'interesting' statements on them. so i grabbed whoever who was wearing those shirts n took pics wif them.

after our criminal test, we told caroline dat the tomatoes were actually a joke but she sed she knew it already, coz its imposible we wud give tomatoes as her bdae pressie. (dis girl certainly doesnt suffer from lack of self-esteem!) so we gave her her pressies n took out the cake. (her pressie is in one of my recent posts)

then on our way home, i saw dis!!!

it was dat very day!
so i roped jia xin n jeannie along to donate blood!
flo had low blood pressure so she cudnt donate, but she became my official photographer! hehe~
firdaus also came coz he was the 1 sending jeannie n flo home.


as we neared the auditorium, i was still feeling pretty good...

i filled in the form (i juz realised dat i din fill in the allergies part. opps!)

nxt, we had to go to the stations where they tested ur blood n stuff.
it was dis part dat i began to panic!

but dats the good thing about spontaneous decisions, u dun get much time to be infected wif the horrible tink-too-much disease! =p

so i sat my ass down on the chair!

he pricked my finger


then he used dis suction thingy to suck out my blood n placed it onto the board wif lotsa squares on it. then he mixed it wif sum chemicals n announced dat my blood was type b! amazing!

then i went to the nxt station.


he explained the sexual relations thingy n asked me to sign if i was clean. but i had juz pricked my left middle finger n had trouble signing so i sed "oh no!" then he tot i din qualify for the sexual relationships part. -___-"


my blood pressure! (is 86 good or bad???)


then i filled in a lil red book at the 3rd station

i sat lay nxt to jeannie... she looks like she already passed out!


dats me feeling afraid after seeing her expression. :S


i was laughing at sum joke firdaus sed about sarawakian blood being stronger coz we live in the jungle or sth liddat...

the NEEDLE! i was soo freaked out dat i juz lay still looking way.


the nurse taped the needle in place n i felt much safer. lol~

its finally full! my blood flowed out so slowly, i tink jia xin who came after me was done b4 me. -_-"


the oh-so-cool process of stopping the blood flow.
1st she put dat metal ring...


then she clamped it n snipped it


when i first touched my blood i was surprised coz it was warm! (feels so dumb now...) hah! i AM a warm-blooded creature!


where was i again? oh ya, after she snipped it, she let the remaining blood flow into 2 test tubes for testing.


then she clamped it again. i din see how she extracted the needle coz i felt to freaked out to watch. =p


all done!


my lil red book which is actually my certificate under the National Blood Centre. each time u donate blood, they will make a note in it (which will only take up 1 line). n there are 112 lines for the notes! ppl can actually donate so much blood???

im sooo very proud of us for donating blood! im so glad i din chicken out. n if u tink i looked ugly in those photo's, u can ask the person-whose-life-im-helping-save, how i look. he'll/she'll tell u i look BEAUTIFUL. so there! jia xin, jeannie n amy r BEAUTIFUL ppl! yay~~~

ok la, my 1st time donating blood so im a bit sakai n may be over-reacting. but u noe wad, i dun care! i feel good about myself! donating blood doesnt hurt at all! even BCG was more painful! =p
