i didnt originally plan to go to the dinner, in my original plan, by the time caroline n i had finished dinner, the birthday dinner would have almost been over too, then i'd just go to their restaurant n follow them clubbing. but as luck would have it, they hadnt even set out yet. so i followed them to the dinner.
it was held at bar meze
as i was too full, i didnt want to waste money having another dinner. but to be polite and also because im such a dessert fiend, i ordered some dessert anyway.

the dinner was held in a sort of buffet/chinese dinner way where the dishes came and everyone shared.
however since the table wasnt round, those who ate had to sit nxt to each other, thus i had to sit at one end of the table to not interrupt. one of the boss/manager wasnt very polite about making me sit at one end of the table because i wasnt in his eyes, a "paying customer", eventhough i eventually ordered dessert. and because of that, i doubt i'd ever go back. the food was costly and wasnt very nice either anyway.

it was a turkish restaurant cum pub if im not mistaken. thus the food was very foreign to us.
the dishes in the pics above were supposed to be put into pitas and eaten.

however, i perked up a little when i discovered that some of the dishes were hummus! (i was curious as to what hummus was after watching 'dont mess with the zohan' =p)

baklava served with clotted cream
highlight of my night :D
although i did taste a little of the dishes that my friends ate, they were to say the least, not to my taste. luckily, my dessert was sweetly good.
ok, so i might just go back. only for the dessert =p
