btw, those pictures were meant to be taken in the most unflattering poses and light. i wanted to see how i would look at my absolute worst. and the result is horrendous indeed.

ok, now serious.
read 'The truth about Malaysia'.
it really saddens me that a country can be in a state where people just stop caring. where corruption is everywhere you turn. where the judiciary is as good as dead. where any one who dares to try to speak out, or make a change, is disposed of. where instead of the democracy i have learnt : "by the people, FOR the people", the Goverment operates solely for it own benefit. where people have lived in fear for so long, that they even forget that they are living in fear because fear has become the norm for them.

it is true, but sadly I find that it's equally saddening, or perhaps more so because the people are willing to accept it.
you know, I'm been feeling more and more detached about malaysia lately though. I don't think I will be a part of it much longer, in all honesty.
well... alot of people that have gone overseas to study/work feel the same way that you do. having experienced real democracy, many people dont want to go back to the way their lives previously were.
as for me... as much as i hate the politics, kuching and kl will always be home to me. i just have to figure out which city i would like to live in more =p
