a crash in the night

ok, technically it was about 5am in the morning, but since i was still sleeping and it wasnt bright out yet, it shall be deemed as night =p

so there i was, peacefully sleeping when i heard a loud *crash*. it was like a thunderclap. refusing to wake up, i tried to deny the fact that something had gone terribly wrong in my room, and i turned over to face the wall. wtf

but after awhile, i could no longer be in denial, so i turned back to face the room and opened my eyes. the first thing i saw was a gaping black hole where part of my ceiling used to be. wthhhhhh


a papan from my ceiling fell!!!


thank god it was not a papan from directly above my bed!




creepy...

i felt so shaken and disturbed. i mean WHAT IF I HAPPENED TO BE WALKING UNDERNEATH??? or if my bed was directly below it???
i doubt that i would have died, but still its blardy dangerous wei!


all the debris and splinters.

i spent about an hour cleaning up my whole room. the splinters from the papan flew like dust and covered every available surface when the papan fell and smashed. ugh!

but luckily shaun was there and he helped me to remove the papan from my room and also comforted me :D *hugs*

after cleaning the room, i was so tired and went right back to sleep. when i woke up, i immediately called my house agent and told him what happened. note that all this happened on saturday morning.

he told me that he would contact his contractor and get the ceiling fixed as soon as possible.

i felt very unsettled because of the hole right above my head. do u have any idea how many horror movies have been centered around the idea of a hole in the ceiling??? i remember very vividly a scene from a horror movie with long hair descending from an air vent!

by tuesday there was still no news from the agent. unable to wait any longer, i called him on wednesday to hurry him. finally, the contractor came today and nailed in a new papan. *phew*
