i think the guys are gonna take a super long time to upload the pics into facebook, so i'll just show u the stuff i bought 1st :D
actually i didnt buy many thing in paris. most of the money went towards food and tickets. even then, by the 2nd last day, most of us were very broke.
clockwise from the top left corner: tickets to versailles n disneyland, mini eiffel tower, tinkerbell brooch, candy, paris disneyland top, and disneyland keychain.
the super ticket. i forgot how much this cost, but it was a 5 day pass and it was super worth it because it enabled us to use the paris trains. without this ticket, we would have spent a small fortune on transport alone!
another top i bought at disneyland.
stella bought the same top. couple t-shirts! lol! (shaun are you jealous? =p)
i love it because the mickey is so subtle but still clearly present :D
actually i didnt buy this, but i got it from the white elephant gift exchange that we played in paris.
at 1st, i thought it was just the eiffel and i wasnt really impressed, but i discovered that it could open! and the heavens opened. wtf
now i think its GREAT :D
i know the title says 'stuff i bought in paris n london', but i didnt buy these.
they were gifts from 2 very special ppl :D
the necklace on the left is from caroline. its 2 hearts. super bling. i love it coz its the kind of necklace that i admire on ppl but nvr buy it myself coz im scared by the bling-ness of it. but now that she bought it for me, its mine and i shall not fear! wtf
the necklace stella bought me is a locket!
i love lockets!
actually i love trinkets which have interesting details to them. *sigh* stella knows me too well.
now we shall move on to the stuff i bought in london!
i bought something from harrods! but i shall save that for last ;)
after coming back from paris, i spent 2 nights at stella's place in order to hang out longer with lodgians (coz i <3 lodgians :D) and also to do some belated boxing day shopping.
we made our way from one end of oxford street to the other. i shall post up the stuff i bought according to shop.
esprit
left: $9.99 (originally $19)
right: $16.99 (originally $25)
btw, everything is in pounds ofcourse.
topshop
$15.30 (10% student discount)
technically this wasnt on sale, but i loved it too much =p
love the paperbag too =p
zara
$14.99 (originally $24.99)
100% cotton which beats acryllic hands down in terms of warmth.
i especially love the pockets :D
uniqlo
turtleneck: $29.99 (originally $49.99)
tights: $2.99
i wasnt sure whether to buy the patterned tights or plain black ones. in the end i got the patterned ones (as u can see) coz they were more interesting and i already had opaque tights.
$29.99 may sound expensive, but for 100% cashmere, its pretty cheap! (or so i was told coz i dun usually buy cashmere)
i also got this from uniqlo.
$3 (originally $7.99)
its sort of thermal!
it says 'heat tech'. and the packet the top came in says that it collects water vapour from my body and turns it to heat o.0
i wore it today and i didnt feel all that warm, but joshua told me that im supposed to wear thermal clothes with something over it in order for the thermal properties to take effect. so i'll try that nxt time!
remember the harrods bag?
wanna know what was in it?
here's a hint:
its a kinda obvious hint.
i loved it the moment i saw it, but i was scared away by the price. but the fact that it was on 30% sale kinda toned down the scariness a notch.
ta da!!!
see the ribbon? it has 2 colours, the underside is gold :D
honestly, as pretty as this medallion is, the weight of it kinda annoys me. wtf
like when i put my bag upright, the medallion part sags down :(
but it looks very gorgeous when carried :D
someone told me that the words on the bag dont make sense.
but i beg to differ.
put a fullstop after "liked stuff", and the sentence will make sense ;)
even the back is damn pretty!!!
but for $116, it had better be!
i checked the juicy couture website and they were selling it for $225 american dollars, which converted would be $155.152 GBP. so i guess $116 is not bad! :D
thanks a million to bernie for paying for it 1st. coz i bought it b4 the paris trip n didnt have enough money at that time. but i've already paid him back, so the bag is all mine!
i realise that its uber expensive and i dont usually even think of buying branded things because they are so over-priced, but since im now earning my own money and last month i earned $483, i think i deserve a little splurge :D
i paid for it via hours spent working in subway! so dont anybody say anything bad. yes cherie, have u gotten over your horror of the price?
