like i said yesterday, i had a craving to eat cake. so i had my last slice of the Marks & Spencer's victoria sponge cake yesterday (bernie, the strawberry swissroll is still so much better!).
then after lunch, the stupid craving hit me again! but i was out of cake! how?! (how now brown cow!)
so i googled "simple cake recipe" and baked a cake. *sigh* the lengths i go to to satisfy my cravings.
i tried this recipe. the cake is still in the oven, so im not sure how nice it will be, but the reviews made it sound awesome possum, so i hope it is! *excited*
but in the event it does not taste awesome possum, i shall attribute it to the salted butter im using that i accidentally bought last time. haih, i always accidentally buy salted instead of unsalted butter -_-"
plus im using normal sugar, not icing sugar, so it might not be so smooth.
i dunno why im giving so many excuses when none of u are gonna even get to taste my cake anyway -_-"

ahah don worry the salted butter should not be a problem it doesn effect the baking process just that you wont be able to control the salt content of the cake
this will be more important when you are making like danishes where unsalted butter is a must!
the icing sugar would have been easier to cream with the butter since it melts readily compared to the granulated sugar that is bigger so yea...good luck with that! i felt like a body builder everytime i baked last time coz i did everything manually and its so cold the freaking butter hardens even after i soften it in the microwave :P LOL
